GH Motorcycles was started by Gavin Hockey in 1984 after finishing his school boy racing days due to a knee injury. It all started in Barrack St Colchester selling mainly 125cc bikes and under for the road i.e. Yamaha FSIE’S & Honda SS50, Suzuki AP-50 etc with also Off Road bikes and clothing. We sold High performance big bore kits and all the accessories to tune up the bikes. Business was great and we expanded very quickly.

We have always been involved with moto-x either selling products in our shop so over the years we have sold a range of bikes from mopeds to super bikes, 400cc Pocket Rockets etc but now have come around a full circle back to our main speciality, off-road bikes, accessories and parts.

GH has experience of racing since 1979 so we have over 36 years of experience to help you on your purchase of a bike. Sylvia who is Gavin’s Mum can help with clothing and talk to Mark for any parts orders.

GH Motorcycles always strives for 100% customer satisfaction and our after bikes sales service is second to none. As racer’s ourselves we appreciate the importance of posting urgent parts out the same day, getting the parts out to you the next day using Royal Mail Special Delivery. We know how important it is to make sure your bike is ready for race day.
